This Cookie Policy explains how Aries Wealth Management Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels — are also covered by this policy.
2. Our legal basis for using cookies
We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR. We will only set non-essential cookies on your device with your consent. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement because they are essential for the website to function.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the "Manage cookies" button below or in the footer of any page.
3. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into two categories. You can accept or reject the non-essential category independently.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. They do not store any personally identifiable information.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
aries_consent | Stores your cookie preferences so we don't ask again on every page | 12 months |
aries_session | Maintains your session as you navigate the site, including the contact form and our booking application | Session only |
aries_csrf | Protects forms and booking submissions against cross-site request forgery | Session only |
Analytics (optional — requires consent)
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They collect information in an aggregated, pseudonymised form. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not share this data with third parties for advertising purposes.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique users with an anonymised ID | 2 years |
_ga_MXY1WKZS7N | Google Analytics 4 | Persists session state for our GA4 property | 2 years |
Third-party services
We do not embed third-party widgets that set cookies in your browser. Our booking application is built and hosted by us; appointments are created on our behalf in Microsoft Bookings via the Microsoft Graph API server-side, so Microsoft does not set cookies on your device when you book.
4. Marketing and advertising cookies
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on this website. We do not run remarketing campaigns and we do not share your browsing data with advertising networks.
5. How to control cookies in your browser
In addition to using our preferences panel, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See what cookies are stored and delete them
- Block cookies from particular sites or all sites
- Be notified when a cookie is set
Helpful guides for the major browsers are available at aboutcookies.org. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this website from working correctly.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies changes or if guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office is updated. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
7. Contact us
Questions about cookies can be sent to Oliver Foster at info@arieswealth.co.uk or by calling 01423 209040.
